Rear Frame Opening

The Rear Frame Opening is an area between the splice beams where the rear cover plate is omitted and the rear frame is modified so that a "trough" is created. The Rear Frame Opening can hold the boom or stick of an excavator, which helps reduce the overhead clearance height. The carrying capacity of the trunnion outriggers is reduced in this application.
