Albion, PA — When Ellen Fiore, owner and president of Bedrock Stone, Inc. of Kearny NJ, purchased a Komatsu WA 500 loader that measured 12'-8" in height, she knew she would be facing hauling problems. Bedrock Stone, a recycler of concrete and rubble, offers on-site crushing and screening of demolition projects. But when transporting equipment to demolition sites, they would be facing overhead clearances of only 13'-6". Because Ellen was so impressed with the durability and quality of the 1964 Rogers Brothers lowboy trailer the company had bought at auction fifteen years ago, she decided to approach Rogers® for a solution.

Ellen visited C.C. and F.F. Keesler, distributor of Rogers Brothers Corporation trailers in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. They recommended a Rogers® Specialized Trailer designed to meet their specific hauling needs. Ellen’s husband, Andy Fiore and their driver, Sandy McIntyre went to Rogers’ manufacturing site in Albion, PA to oversee the design and manufacture of a 60-ton, drop side trailer featuring wheel pockets, Rogers newest innovation for reducing transport height.

Bedrock Stone has been using their Rogers Specialized trailer for about a year now and report they are able to transport their Komatsu loader anywhere without pulling pins or disassembly. Andy Fiore adds, “Not only are we totally satisfied with our Rogers trailer, but we were very impressed by the Keesler salesman who didn’t walk away after the sale was made but worked with us through the whole design and manufacturing process.”
