Automatic Slack Adjuster:
Commonly referred to as autoslack, the Automatic Slack Adjuster automatically adjusts the brakes each time they are applied or released. Autoslacks form the mechanical interface between the brake actuating mechanism and the brake chamber. Automatic Slack Adjusters are required by law. The Automatic Slack Adjusters require periodic maintenance to function properly. |
