Helper Dolly:
A Helper Dolly is a short frame-type trailer built complete with a kingpin, fifth wheel, and suspension. The Helper Dolly is designed to couple between a semi-trailer and tractor. The Helper Dolly has a fixed fifth wheel mounted higher than the tractor's fifth wheel. The Helper Dolly carries a portion of the trailer's kingpin load (usually about 45%) while transferring the remaining kingpin load onto the tractor's fifth wheel. A ROGERS Helper Dolly usually requires a "Dolly Link." |
